As promised, today we’re releasing our third short play script! As you might guess from the title, it takes a bit of inspiration from the classic It’s a Wonderful Life, as well as from Christ’s Parable of the Talents.
Like our other short plays, It’s a Wonderful Talent is designed for convenience, with just three characters, two scenes, and one simple set. It runs about ten minutes and meets all Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) convention guidelines for One-Act Plays.
Here’s a basic plot description:
16-year-old twins Jordan and Logan couldn’t be more unlike. Logan is brilliant, loves math and science, plays piano like a pro, and can get along with anyone. Jordan: not so. He has only one talent, and he’s not thrilled about it.
When Jordan’s guardian angel interrupts his homework one day, he gets the chance to trade places with his twin and discover how a different set of skills changes your approach to life. Or…doesn’t.
