In League of Heroes, seven aspiring novelists are in for a surprise when their fictional heroes come to life…and go on strike. Seven determined heroes (from a wild variety of story genres…sci-fi, medieval, old west, and more!) form a league against their authors, demanding an explanation for all the hardships they endure in their stories.
Comically satirical and surprisingly deep, this drama was inspired by words of N. D. Wilson and George MacDonald, and it offers a few possible answers to one of life’s hardest questions: why do we have to suffer so much?
League of Heroes has a customizable number of characters, so it can fit any cast size from 15 to 22 members. This drama runs about 40-50 minutes in performance, and it’s easily performed at any time of the year. The play requires only a very simple set, but if you want, your cast and crew can go all out with costumes!

NOTE: we also offer a similar but much abridged script titled Team Hero, which is a ten-minute play written for only five performers. You can learn more about Team Hero here.
