Yancey Madison Courtney is a senior at Hillsdale College, and she is majoring in Chemistry and English. She goes by Yancey or Madison, but I’ve always called her Madison ever since I met her two years before I came to Hillsdale. She was my sister LaRae’s roommate, and later housemate, so I’ve been able to know Madison well! She’s a hard worker, an avid horse-lover, and a Tolkein buff, not to mention a patient peer and a kind friend.

Why I came to Hillsdale: I visited and loved it (it’s the people  🙂 ).

Campus involvement: American Chemical Society, Sigma Zeta (Science & Math Honorary), Iota Sigma Pi (Women’s Chemistry Honorary).

Career aspirations: Research and development in the bourbon industry.

Summer plans: Get a job; visit a certain someone in England.

Hobbies: Reading, writing, horse-back riding.
