Hailing from Colorado, Taylor Flowers is a senior at Hillsdale College, majoring in Music and minoring in Marketing. He’s a fantastic pianist, violinist, and tenor, and I’ve been privileged to perform with him in the college’s symphony orchestra and in various chamber ensembles.

Why I came to Hillsdale: I first visited Hillsdale because of my parents’ encouragement, which was largely influenced by talk radio and our family’s reception of Imprimis. When I arrived on campus, I was surprised to see a vibrant and divers body of individuals, each one pursuing his or her unique life goal with the full support of faculty and a resourceful administration. I realized that my passion for music, along with other areas of study, would be both well-developed and safeguarded at Hillsdale.

Campus involvement: Hillsdale InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Hillsdale Camerata, Symphony Orchestra, past member of the Chamber and Concert Choirs, Hillsdale Honors Program (now known as the Collegiate Scholars)

Career aspirations: Artist/Teacher of music at a University.

Summer plans: Attending a classical music festival, trekking in Iceland.

Hobbies: Rock climbing, mountaineering, trekking, swimming, triathlons, racquetball, reading adventure tales, frisbee, ping pong.
