The Gift presents the Nativity story through the eyes of two children, Ellen and Stanley, who find themselves transported in their imaginations to Bethlehem. Encountering both the wise men and the shepherds during their journey to the stable, the children recognize the beauty of humble giving and ultimately discover the great Gift sent to earth by God.
Lighthearted but earnest, this drama brings the reality of Christmas to contemporary viewers with simplicity and sincerity. The play has a flexible cast of 12 characters and runs 15-20 minutes.
