Why I came to Hillsdale: Honestly, I had no idea Hillsdale existed and I only visited so my grandparents would stop pestering me about it (after all, if Rush Limbaugh constantly talks about it, the school must be good). After visiting numerous other colleges (big, small, public, private), I knew there was no college better suited for me than Hillsdale College. The academic rigor is unmatched, professors and faculty take the time to know their students, and students are more than just a number. Hillsdale has allowed me to grow spiritually and intellectually while instilling a deep passion for learning those things that are truly Good, True, and Beautiful.
Campus involvement: Eta Sigma Phi, Phi Alpha Theta, Sigma Alpha Iota, Music in the Community Volunteer, Mary Randall Preschool Volunteer, Assistant Musical Director at Hillsdale Academy, HOST Student Program, Student Mentor, Former Head Student Manager at Saga, Inc., Hillsdale Camerata, Founder of Hillsdale 1844 Leadership Society, College Republicans Member, Head Resident Assistant (3 years), Member of Hillsdale College Orchestra and Hillsdale College Percussion Ensemble, Office Assistant for Howard Music Department, Dean’s List (7 semesters).
Career aspirations: Ultimately I would like to work for the National Archives as a museum curator.
Post-graduation plans: Since I am graduating this May, I have recently submitted many applications to Graduate Schools for a Master’s in History and Museum Studies. Fingers Crossed!
